Austin, Texas, based ICON asserts it can build a house in a single day. The company uses 3-D Printing technology to build the home, on-site, with concrete. Its printer is mobile, runs on rails with support beams and is accurate to within 1/8th of an inch. The company intends the product to supplement the housing market and possible partnerships with FEMA for disaster victims. One plan is to build 100 homes for families in El Salvador.
